Joining Solutions/Clinching Tools
Clinching tools allow their operative to join sheet metal without the need for any additional components. The clinch joint is formed by the tool clamping and pushing the overlapping metal sheets into a die and then compressing them with anvil. When complete, the resulting clinch joint has the relative strength of a rivet or a screw – but without the associated risk of protruding screw heads.
